JoSAA will release JEE Advanced 2021 Cut off for IITs Round 1 to 6, candidates can check course wise IIT cut offs for different categories. The Qualifying cut off for JEE Advanced will be released after declaration of JEE Advanced Result

Candidates have to qualify JEE Advanced 2021 cutoff individually for all three subjects and also in aggregate for all three subjects to qualify the exam. There are a total of 16,053 seats in 23 IITs for JEE Advanced 2021 candidates. JEE Advanced Admission Cut off will be released in the form of Opening and Closing Ranks for every participating institute.

Highlights of JEE Advanced 2021 Cutoff

(1)  Students qualifying JEE Advanced cutoff will be considered eligible for admission in IITs.

(2)  JEE Advanced Cut off list will be different for different categories. 

(3)  Candidates must secure a rank above the cut off to secure a seat.

(4)  The seat allotment will be solely based on category wise All India Ranks (AIR) in JEE Advanced 2021.

(5)  Rank lists will be prepared for each of the participating institutes individually. The minimum prescribed marks are also declared category-wise

(6)  Students will be provided the information about JEE Advanced 2021 cutoff as soon as it is released by IIT Kharagpur.

(7)  Cut off list will contain the Minimum Percentage of Marks in Each Subject and Minimum Percentage of Aggregate Marks.

Factors will be affecting JEE Advanced 2021 Cut-off

The cut off of JEE Advanced is set after considering the following factors:

(a) Number of students participated in the exam

(b) The complexity level of the exam

(c) Seat Matrix of colleges 

(d) cut-off trend of Previous year

(e) Candidates performance in JEE Advanced

JEE Advanced Cut-off 2020: Highlights

(i)  JEE Advanced cut off observed a dip in 2020 from that of the last year.

(ii)  As per JEE Advanced cut-off in 2020, candidates must have scored a minimum of 5% of the total marks to be included in the common rank list (CRL). In 2019, candidates were required to secure 10% of total marks to be included in the CRL.

(iii) The minimum aggregate percentage marks to be included in CRL was 25% in 2021 while it was 17.50% in 2020

Factors determining JEE Advanced cut off 2020

JEE Advanced 2020 cut off will be decided based on the following factors:

(i)  The difficulty level of JEE Advanced

(ii)  Previous year’s cut-off trends

(iii)  Total number of applicants for JEE Advanced

(iv)  Number of seats available for admission

(v)  Candidates performance in the exam
